Road or mountain bike helmet – what would you choose?

Whether you're riding a road bike or mountain bike that definitely needs to wear a helmet for safety reasons. A good helmet can protect your head from the sun and any accident.

It used to be that for some the road races to finish on a mountain, riders can travel without having to wear helmets. But even that rule has now been scraped. For security reasons, all racing events (road and mountain bikes alike) should take place with helmets – no exceptions. If a pilot is not wearing a helmet, he or she will be disqualified.

But what if you are not riding in the race? You still need to wear a helmet? Common sense says that the helmet can help protect the head in an accident. Still, many runners take this issue lightly and not put on helmets while driving.

In a road bicycles, the bicycle is moving at a faster rate. During downhill descents, speed reaching 100 kilometers per hour. That's as fast as a vehicle motor! An accident can cause serious injury or in the worst case scenario, you may even be fatal. There are so many blogs riders on their accidents, and many were just happy they had their helmets when they crashed. They kept their broken hulls as souvenirs. You can now show their "scars" to his friends.

You may be surprised to see these images of the helmets, because in most cases, the back of the helmet cracked. This means that if you are not using a helmet, your head is going to absorb the force of impact. And any strong impact in the back of the head can only spell disaster. So do not take this to light, wear a helmet when riding.

If you do not have one, how to choose a good helmet? Most helmets have been tested in the laboratory to cushion of a strong impact during an accident. However, a better quality of helmets provide comfort and reduce friction.

If you ride a road bike, stick to a road bike helmet. Road helmets are built aerodynamically to reduce wind resistance. The frontal area Hull is most acute for the wind moves gently to the back of the head. In addition, you will look better in a road helmet.

But If you already own a mountain bike helmet, you may only want to use the same helmet, especially if you are in driving pleasure. Unless, of course, his mountain bike helmet is a helmet. Then you need anything else. You certainly do not want to wear a helmet while riding a road bike. With full face helmet can prevent injuries in the face when you are riding on rough terrain on a mountain bike.

Bicycle Seat Kids

bicycle seat kids
How old or big does a child have to be to ride one of those seats for children in the back of a bike?

I look forward to my child do on my bike. But is it dangerous? What is the best type of seat?

I can not see it being unsafe, as long as the boy is a good support. Those in the rear of the bike is fine, but had to be sure about the head support of children. If an older child, I made sure his feet do not get tangled in the spokes. What if you fall? I've seen some trailers that go in the back of bikes with them infants up to 3 to 4 years age. Sounds safer for me. Just my two cents, I'm not any professional or anything, but I am an avid cyclist. I've been riding for decades and always there is something invisible that can cause a fall.
