The two bikes that are in question are built for paved roads or use roads. The Iron Horse is a hybrid bike, made of silence comfortable cruise. The Bianchi is a little higher end and is a great bike for the trip, but the mountains no / off-road worthy. If you are looking for an entry level mountain bike aggressively to find a Specialized Hardrock Sport or Diamondback response.
