Racing bikes usually have a soft disc covers over the spokes of their wheels. Why this radios fine threads of a problem around in fast-moving bicycle?
Disturb the air creates friction. The radios individually create friction during movement. A soft disc cover creates less disturbance of the air and therefore less friction and therefore are better for speed. They suck in crosswinds.

Road or mountain bike helmet – what would you choose?
Whether you're riding a road bike or mountain bike that definitely needs to wear a helmet for safety reasons. A good helmet can protect your head from the sun and any accident.
It used to be that for some the road races to finish on a mountain, riders can travel without having to wear helmets. But even that rule has now been scraped. For security reasons, all racing events (road and mountain bikes alike) should take place with helmets – no exceptions. If a pilot is not wearing a helmet, he or she will be disqualified.
But what if you are not riding in the race? You still need to wear a helmet? Common sense says that the helmet can help protect the head in an accident. Still, many runners take this issue lightly and not put on helmets while driving.
In a road bicycles, the bicycle is moving at a faster rate. During downhill descents, speed reaching 100 kilometers per hour. That's as fast as a vehicle motor! An accident can cause serious injury or in the worst case scenario, you may even be fatal. There are so many blogs riders on their accidents, and many were just happy they had their helmets when they crashed. They kept their broken hulls as souvenirs. You can now show their "scars" to his friends.
You may be surprised to see these images of the helmets, because in most cases, the back of the helmet cracked. This means that if you are not using a helmet, your head is going to absorb the force of impact. And any strong impact in the back of the head can only spell disaster. So do not take this to light, wear a helmet when riding.
If you do not have one, how to choose a good helmet? Most helmets have been tested in the laboratory to cushion of a strong impact during an accident. However, a better quality of helmets provide comfort and reduce friction.
If you ride a road bike, stick to a road bike helmet. Road helmets are built aerodynamically to reduce wind resistance. The frontal area Hull is most acute for the wind moves gently to the back of the head. In addition, you will look better in a road helmet.
But If you already own a mountain bike helmet, you may only want to use the same helmet, especially if you are in driving pleasure. Unless, of course, his mountain bike helmet is a helmet. Then you need anything else. You certainly do not want to wear a helmet while riding a road bike. With full face helmet can prevent injuries in the face when you are riding on rough terrain on a mountain bike.

Why do I think a proper bicycle helmet as number one in the accessories necessary for safe mountain bike? The main reason I happens is that when a rider falls off, usually the only type of fatal injury is a blow to the head. Think about it, you can break all the bones and survive, but if you hit your head enough to break the skull, it is likely that you are in serious trouble. I will try to explain why a mountain bike helmet is required, benefits, some history and what they are made and how.
Let's start with the obvious, a bicycle helmet is designed to weaken the impact a fall on the head of the rider. The trick is to do while being light, airy, comfortable and not interfere with pilot vision. The ventilation is important because mountain biking is a strenuous activity, raising the temperature of your body and your head must be able to disperse heat.
Bike started as leather helmets and were used by professional cyclists. They actually offer no protection against impact, but are useful in preventing cuts and scrapes. Bicycle Helmets developed in the 1970s when a large number of adults took the hobby. Manufacturers began to make out of polystyrene foam of a fact of oil expands and hardens. It is very lightweight and can absorb impact. They were hard plastic coated on the outside to create the shell. They have now evolved a very thin shell that is included in the manufacturing process of the hull, allowing the air vents and large aerodynamic designs we see today.
When buying a mountain bike helmet or bike helmet, it is important to achieve the proper size. Many are adjustable but only to some extent. Some need to be adjusted using thin foam pads, while others are designed with Adjustable cribs. Bicycle helmets are made with straps, usually nylon and are adjustable to get the fit right. The perfect fit is when the bicycle helmet is the level of the pilot's head. The wing should sit about an inch above the eyebrows. The belt is designed to sit in the back of the lower jaw near the throat. It should be tight enough to keep the helmet in place but loose enough to get a finger underneath.
Well I think that covered it. Why we should wear bicycle helmets and why they are one of the accessories first mountain bike it should be. I also included a very brief history of how they have evolved and how they are made. I hope this is helpful. Now go and enjoy your favorite mountain bike route.

If you are someone who loves cycling, most likely you will spend most if not all their time riding on the roads and bike paths. It could even spend much time on his mountain bike, off-road excitement of the cross-country testing. cycling shirts may offer several advantages if you are one of those people. The Road safety is an important consideration, so using a brightly colored shirt, cycling can help to get you seen by motorists. If other users can easily see, are less likely to bump into you!
Normal cycling jerseys are designed to be longer in the back of the front, so you do not ride up your back when you lean forward to move at high speed. The pockets are usually in the back, which is both convenient – And to stop beating heavy items in the knees when pedaling – and also has some security ramifications, because it is more difficult things fall from pockets back and maybe get tangled in the wheels.
Compared to ride your bike wearing a normal t-shirt, shirts cycle may have an impact on performance. Son more stringent and not "balloon" or fill with air as it rises, which means they are more streamlined and less resistance. Are also made from high-performance fabrics that wick moisture from your body, to keep you cool, dry and comfortable. This is much better than wearing a cotton shirt and finish of your journey as a sponge!
For cyclists who make the transition from road to the Velodrome for indoor races, including the more severe, more cycle jerseys performance may not be enough to increase your chances of winning events. Instead, everyone who competes in the interior has changed even more stringent, the body-hugging one-piece suits leather bike. This garment features a long sleeved top and cycling shorts combined. The fabrics are ultra-lightweight, high performance, leaving no room for air to get in, either through the sleeves or shorts of. Many, even the best cyclists wear helmets looking extremely rare, they are designed to optimize aerodynamics and shaving one hundredth of a second from their lap times.
The one thing cycling skin suits offer no protection against an accident, but ignore this for pure speed, so a pilot has a general can defeat an opponent very comparable rider wearing shirt and shorts normal cycling. Of course, this is of little consolation to a track racer who falls in more than 40 miles per hour! So if you are desperate for extra speed as an interior corridor, which is best to get a suit of skin and keeping your cycling jerseys for roads.

Where is the best place to buy equipment Triathlon?
Hi guys. I'll be doing my first triathlon near the end of June in the Triathlon Hy-Vee. I was wondering if you would be able to help. I am looking to buy clothes for my first event. I do not know exactly what to get. I'm thinking compression shorts for swimming, a T-shirt to pull on the bike transition, bike shoes and a helmet (that's obvious), a road bike, and maybe some better shoes to run (not that mine are bad, but may be completely exhausted by the race that got them in November). In addition to asking whether the things above is correct, What would the best place to buy quality triathlon equipment quality at a cheap price? I'm an unemployed college student, so the need to keep within a budget would be great. I'm spending $ 140 in the race, so I hope to keep some of the costs down without cheaping out in the most important things. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
triathlonlab.com has a starter kit that includes a bike that is less than $ 1,000. Other online stores have sales and closures where you can save some $ $ if you want to try to rent a bike for his first race since this is the most expensive piece of equipment. If you need both shorts and a shirt consider a tri-suit. It will save much time in T1 if you do not have to wear a jersey. Also if you swim with a suit a piece that you can use your heart rate monitor and not off in the water. If you know what you want for certain items of e-bay for items. shoes come worth the investment, but go to a specific store operation and get a good fit. Make sure your helmet is certified and allowed in the race. Take her to the train on the road. It is the only thing that could save your life
